about

Another stream of consciousness fuelled song written while visiting Cuba in 2010. It gives some look inside my racing brain. If you write from the heart you don’t have to worry about all the logical paradigms you work with while writing from the brain. Why name checking Tennessee Williams instead of Ernest Hemingway in a song that’s inspired by Cuba? I was reading Hemingway while I stayed in Havana, but my mind must be at Williams’ “Streetcar Named Desire" when I wrote this song. I guess in the stream of consciousness there is no time to overthink everything. You just follow your thoughts flow and see where your mind is taking you. My mind must be like a sponge soaking up all these influences and cooking them like a big stew. This song mentions Woody Allen, Tennessee Williams’ “Streetcar" and even a live album by Genesis. And for some reasons I cannot explain, it all sounds completely logical to me.
