I have one rule; that I will never reveal to the person I wrote a song about, the fact that I wrote a song about that very person. But this time it was different. I was having coffee with this girl and after five minutes I already knew; G*d damn it, this is gonna be a song again. When does it stop? So my sentences where full on and from that moment on, everything can be inspiration for a song. After a week of (silent) observation, we ended up in this wonderful garden of an Italian restaurant. After desert was served, I sneaked inside the restaurant and asked for a pen and paper. Sat down at one of the tables and wrote down this song. Months later I performed it for a small group of people including the girl who has inspired the song. It was nerve wrecking as I was basically admitting “here I am and I just have these deep feelings for you” Without knowing how the subject would respond to the song. I Managed to complete the performance and the girl was really flattered by my serenade and that was that. She disappeared into the night and I ended up with a racing mind, all alone. Witch immediately became the song “Drop the Act”.
